Starting in January 2010, large sources and suppliers in the United States will be required to monitor, collect data and report greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The Final Mandatory GHG Emission Rule requires under §98.3 (g) (5) a written GHG Monitoring Plan for all facilities covered by the rule.
The GHG Monitoring Plan should be a unique GHG emissions reporting guidance document specific to each facility. M3V engineers and specialists can help facilities customize their GHG Monitoring Plan by identifying:
- GHG Emissions data gathering methods,
- GHG units and processes,
- Methods for GHG emission calculations,
- QA/QC certification procedures,
- Maintenance and calibration for monitoring instruments,
- GHG Monitoring Plan revisions.
If requested by the a U.S. EPA or State Agency inspector/auditor the GHG Monitoring Plan should be available for inspection.
